The Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC) is a statutory body of the Ministry of Finance in the Government of Jamaica, established in 1975 under the provisions of the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Act. The Commission’s mandate is to regulate and control the operation of betting and gaming and the conduct of lotteries in the Island of Jamaica and to facilitate and enable sustainable growth in the Gaming Industry.

The public is advised that in accordance with authority granted under the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Act, Section 49, the Board of Commissioners of the Betting Gaming & Lotteries Commission has granted approval to Mahoe Gaming Enterprises Limited and Goodwill Gaming Enterprises Limited to promote lottery games in Jamaica.


Gaming Machine Forfeiture Notice - October 26, 2020

Notice pursuant to Section 46A(2) of the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Act. The BGLC gives notice of our intention to apply to the respective parish courts for forfeiture of gaming machines seized during 2020 on or after November 26, 2020. Any person having a claim to any gaming machine seized may appear before the Court to show cause why an order of forfeiture should not be made.
