The Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC) is a statutory body of the Ministry of Finance in the Government of Jamaica, established in 1975 under the provisions of the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Act. The Commission’s mandate is to regulate and control the operation of betting and gaming and the conduct of lotteries in the Island of Jamaica and to facilitate and enable sustainable growth in the Gaming Industry.

Press Release - BGLC Education Fund Applications for 2016 Academic Year


The Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) advises the public it is now accepting applications from tertiary students for grants from the BGLC Education Fund for the 2016 Academic Year.

The Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) established its Education Fund as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme in August 2014, as it prepared to move its offices to Hagley Park Road in Kingston.  

The Deadline for 2016 Applications extended to July 29, 2016
