We accept clearly scanned applications via email.

CSEC/CAPE certificates are sufficient documentation for all first year applicants.

An official transcript is the University's certified statement of your academic record. The official “paper transcript” is printed on security sensitive paper and contains the University seal and signature of the University Registrar.

An unofficial transcript is one that can be easily downloaded and printed by students. Unofficial transcripts do not have a college seal or registrar's signature.

The unofficial transcript may be used as a temporary substitute, however, if the applicant is chosen as a recipient of the BGLC Tertiary Grant they will be required to submit the official transcript before the grant is confirmed and funds disbursed.

It is a reference statement to be completed on a form downloaded from our website.  Your referen es are required to complete  the form, sign, stamp/seal and is it to be delivered in the Referee’s unopened original envelope addressed to the Betting Gaming & Lotteries Commission.

Accepted referee’s must have known the applicant for at least 1 year and are usually any of the following:

  • Senior member of the academic staff at tertiary institution
  • Justice of the Peace
  • Minister of Religion
  • High School Principal 


The BGLC Tertiary Grant will be awarded to undergraduate student entering first year or those currently enrolled to continue studies.

The Betting Gaming & lotteries Commission is providing a grant with no bonding requirements.

Only certified copies of documents should be submitted with application.
